4-Star Edwardian Bed & Breakfast Overlooking Exmoor National Park
The House
Cedar House operates as a 4-star bed and breakfast in a 1906 Edwardian house. The property holds a 4-Star Silver Award and a Gold Award from Visit England. Adults-only accommodation, a garden, and a terrace sit within green surroundings, with eco-friendly practices in place.
Rooms and Cottages
The house provides 5 en-suite rooms with private bathrooms and bathrobes. Large rooms offer views of Exmoor and the sea. On-site self-catering cottages, including Bramleys, provide extra space for longer stays.
Breakfast
Award-winning breakfasts use local produce and include a Somerset breakfast. Vegetarian and meat-eater options are on the menu, with fresh pancakes among the choices. Hosts Eric and Kay cater to dietary requirements and recommend local restaurants and pubs.
Location and Surroundings
Cedar House is 65 km from Exeter International Airport, 7 km from Dunster Castle, and 40 km from Tiverton Castle. Exmoor National Park and Minehead Beach are close by, with uninterrupted views over Exmoor and the coast from the house. Walkers and cyclists use the area for hiking and cycling, and steam trains pass within sight of the property.
Guest Experience
Hosts Eric and Kay provide local knowledge on nearby attractions and activities. A large enclosed dog field gives canine guests room to run, and the resident dog Logan may join them. The garden offers a quiet spot for relaxation, with the sea visible in the distance.
